About Us

Seminole System of Care is a joint initiative of Embrace Families and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Embrace Families formed Community Initiatives (CI) with a commitment to programs that complement the child welfare system and/or fill critical gaps in the community-wide system of care for vulnerable populations. Their mission is to build and support networks of collaborative resources that strengthen and promote thriving communities resulting in substantial and lasting change.

Our Mission

Seminole System of Care (SSOC) provides a family-driven, youth-guided and culturally competent system of care for youth and young adults with emotional health needs and their families. Community partnerships and shared responsibility are the foundation of a service delivery model that is comprehensive, easily accessible and respectfully preserves the dignity of every family served.

Our Vision

A community of children and families that are well equipped to deal with the stressors of life and live empowered, independent, healthy and productive lives.

What guides our System of Care?

Priorities of the Seminole System of Care are guided by a set of core values, which are as follows:

  • Family-driven and Youth-guided
  • Strengths and needs of the individual youth and his or her family determine the types of services and support provided
  • Cultural and Linguistic Competence
  • Involved agencies, programs and services reflect the cultural, racial, ethic, and linguistic differences of the youth and families served, thereby ensuring access to appropriate services and support, and eliminating discrepancies in care
  • Community Based services and support for the children and families of our community are managed and provided by organizations within the community, and are strengthened by relationships unique to this community
Seminole System of Care proudly houses three programs that follow System of Care principles –
Wraparound, Youth WRAP & Wellness, and Federation of Families of Central Florida.
